Looking at Art:

Vito Acconci gained the attention of the art world in 1972 by masturbatiing under the floor of Sonnabend Gallery in New York, while his voice was projected in the art gallery. His murmurings included obscene fantasies about the movements of the visitors above him in the gallery. The piece was part of the performance art movement. Would you consider this art? Today the art field has expanded so very much that it seems impossible to determine where art ends and the rest of the world begins. For me, this makes art very exciting and at times mystifying. What do you think?

Work in the Studio:

This wall sculpture is part of my jewelry box series which combines body parts and jewelry presented in a box. I have always been fascinated with piercing and as a child I could not wait to get my ears pierced. Some people seem to carry the piercing into the realm of body art.
